Orange flowers - Sticky Monkeyflower. The yellow of course is mustard, which is heartbreaking that it is so far into the wilderness, displacing beautiful native plants. The thistles are probably California Thistle.

Beautiful shots!..I was just at Fig Mt. today, via Happy Canyon rd., and you're right, it's as green as Ireland... mustard, poppies & lupine in bloom, along with lots of other wildflowers...gorgeous!

I am soooo glad I took the opportunity to go backpacking up there years ago with husband and little daughter. Your photos help make up for our lack of camera. My husband loved the mountains, local or distant, and we were all over them whenever we had the chance. Good memories - - thank you.
