Santa Barbara and the entire country, and dare I say the entire world, is better because Bush is gone and Obama is our president. Obama has: - Reduced the price of gas - Increased the standard of living for everyone - Lowered our grocery bills - Reduced unemployment - Decreased the number of people on food stamps - Eliminated illegal immigration - Stopped the flow of weapons into Mexico - Race relations have dramatically improved - The level of admiration in the world for the US has greatly improved - Bin Laden is dead - Taxes are lower no national politics

not good things: -price of gas has gone up since 2002. -my rent went up $300 per month. -my grocery bills have skyrocketed. -check out the labor line for the increase of illegals. -race relations are the same, Florida is case in point. -everyone hates the US, we are still in the middle east despite the promise would be leaving four years ago. -no proof Bin Laden is dead. Every year since Bush left office my taxes have gradually increased. The state tax in California has also increased. no national politics

"Every year since Bush left office my taxes have gradually increased" 40% of the stimulus was tax cuts for 99% of the population. Taxes are the lowest they have been in 60 years. "By this measure, federal taxes are at their lowest level in more than 60 years. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that federal taxes would consume just 14.8 percent of G.D.P. this year. The last year in which revenues were lower was 1950, according to the Office of Management and Budget." One can only make a valid point if it is based on fact not fiction. no national politics

Since Barack Obama entered office, the world's view of the United States has 'improved sharply,' according to a poll carried out by the BBC World Service. Nearly 30,000 people in 28 countries were asked to rate countries on their positive impact upon the world. This year 46% of the respondents rated the US's influence as positive - the first time since 2005 that the survey returned more positive votes than negative for America.
"After a year, it appears the 'Obama effect' is real" said Steven Kull director Program on International Policy Attitudes (Pipa) at the University of Maryland, who helped conduct the poll. FACT. no national politics

There was a promise to get the troops out of Iraq. That promise was kept. There was NO promise to get the troops out of Afghanistan before 2012. They are due to come out in 2014. FACT. no national politics Obama wanted to get them out sooner - the military wanted to do a "surge" as was done in Iraq.
