There only seems to be something wrong with it to people unfamiliar with bicycle technology and the meaning of "high-end".

From what I've heard, $6,700 isn't the top end of bike prices. Nothing any more wrong, to me, than paying $100,000 and more for a "high end" car. It would be crazy for me to do it, but "to each his own".

If you go to specialized's website, you will see that one road bike is up at $18,000. The technology in some of these bikes is way more advanced than you would think. The materials on some of these bikes is stuff found in space and military jets, lol.
