@617: How does that explain Santa Maria being included on the list then? No one there seems to show any signs of starvation, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

I think it's a combination of having a more educated/affluent base (who tend to be healthier) and the fabulous weather which inspires people to get out and exercise and not be depressed and eat gallons of ice cream to compensate. That's my theory from living in other less happy and much fatter places.

Santa Maria is included at #5? SANTA MARIA? Really?? I've never noticed a lot of "skinny" people in Santa Maria. Quite the contrary, in fact. I mean...not that that's a BAD thing... But REALLY? Santa Maria? I'm...surprised.
