But there are no plans for a Hotel, Casino, Golf Course, gas stations and 4 lane highway at Camp 4! Just some needed housing for the tribal members who live on the "reservation".

They have so much CASH they might as well snap up all of Solvang, annex it off all public tax rolls, and just have it become more of the reservation. I'm sure they can "find" a few authentic artifacts around town to seal the deal. Maybe they want an airport that's close by the rez too so the tribal elders can fly in & out with their rez jets.

@776: As a young person you are supposed to hate all of the one percenters, a club to which some 150-200 or so local Chumash belong (just look for the late-model abandoned cars). If you are a young person and proud of America, then you will want to become a one percenter. I am a ninety-nine percenter, but trying my best to become at least a 60/70/80 percenter. If I ever become a hated one percenter, then I'll talk to Al Gore and our prez how to give back all my money to the government so they can give it away to "The Takers."

White Man steals the land and forces Indian to live on reservation. Indian builds Casino on Reservation and White Man gambles money away. Indian BUYS back the land White Man stole. White Man upset. Pretty much sums it up.

283781 - ridiculous. Al Gore has not taken a dime from you or anyone. Obama has cuts taxes to where they are the lowest in several decades and much lower than under Ronald Reagan. Additionally, the current administration has spent less than the prior administration by several factors. The biggest spenders historically have always been Republican administrations/congresses. Look it up. 283784 - right on the money.

From the linked article: "The two-story building was built in 1972, and in 2007 underwent a major renovation to become one of the only lodging establishments in Santa Barbara County with an indoor heated swimming pool." Can anyone name another hotel in SB County with an indoor heated swimming pool? What an interesting factoid!

How about that Chair-o-Key Elizabeth Warren? Lots of pain and suffering in her background. I wonder if she gets a take from all that White Man's money. She can tell you what it's like to be an American Indian.

The Chumash have done so many generous things for the sb county community. I am glad they have been prosperous enough to continue to purchase what others cannot. They have been fiscally responsible, and also caring toweards the needs of the community. I appreciate their loyality to all community members, not just those who are Chumash.
