Slidell, AKA Sly, came to us as a 5 pound mix of who-knows-what from Slidell, Louisiana where he had been born a week before Hurricane Katrina.
Scared and lonely, our 2 year old Basset Hound, Bella, took care of him and ever since they have been absolutely inseparable.
Both dogs love the beach and the dog park and live for stealing socks and shoes and eating whatever is in sight.
A little scared and apprehensive at first Sly has blossomed into a very loving little guy.
Both dogs will now lick and cuddle any person that will give them a minute.
Slidell loves his new home in Santa Barbara and while he is still scared of the water he loves the beach and all his friends there.
