Cat of the Week - 04/17/07

Tut

Tut

This is Tut, our one and a half-year-old gray tabby-Abyssinian mutt mix cat that we suspect is more lemur and raccoon than feline. My boyfriend and I adopted Tut from a wonderful cat sanctuary called ResQCats. When we went into his habitat at the sanctuary, we knew he was the one when he promptly jumped up on my boyfriend's shoulder and stayed there!

As you can see, Tut likes to look out the window, where he pines for the outdoors and dreams of the day when he can escape out into the world of birds and rodents.

Tut is also our furry alarm clock that promptly gets us up at 6:10 (on the nose) every morning. If we don't get up, he'll jump onto our stomachs and right up to our faces and meow (he tries to no avail to do this on the weekends, too). He also protects us against spiders and moths (we haven't seen an arachnid or insect since we've gotten him...).

Tut likes to fetch cat bottle caps, wine corks, and other various things and will complain until we throw them for him so that he can fetch them again. Last but not least, Tut is a great cuddler when we watch movies.
