Jack
|
Eight-year-old Jack, a long-haired Chihuahua, came to live in Santa Barbara
just over a year ago. Jack was emaciated when he was dumped at the East LA
Valley shelter with his eye prolapsed. After having his eye removed, he
began a long recovery in SB, where he became the third dog in his adoptive
family. His Pomeranianish brother and snobbish purebred sister helped him
discover the things that happy dogs do. Or doo.
Now, he's making up for those ruff years and enjoying his second puppyhood.
Jack fearlessly explores the DFP, visits UCSB, and sleeps on the BED. A
frenzied narcissist, he is unable to resist toys that look like him. Jack
was so quiet during his first months home that his family thought he was
mute. Now, he is a frequent contributor to conversations, usually adding
"Yip!" or "Yap?" and occasionally, "Reese Witherspoon is a hottie!" (wink,
wink!)
