SB Shirt Wearing Fellow

Ortega Park's many murals can keep your eyes busy for quite some time. There are Aztec-style drawings on the pool, flowers and happy people on the handball courts, stylistic field workers, and this SB-shirt wearing fellow on the outside wall of the restrooms. He's part of a human chain that includes babies and balloons. Edhat wrote about the murals some time ago, in an article about a plaque that is mounted on a wall near the park.
At the time, we included a photo gallery of all the murals at Ortega Park. Carlos Cuellar, who had worked on the murals, was so excited by the gallery that he painted a giant Edhat logo on his van.
There were lots of observant guessers in the WWII contest yesterday. Many people guessed the new mural at the airport, but Say It Loud, LGH, Altamesa, Roger Dodger, Lucypye, Golferrw, and Trolley Tom hit the question out of the park. The Edhat Dog was called upon (woken up, to tell the truth) to break the tie and award the winning t-shirt.
Pieces of popcorn were thrown to The Dog, each one with the fate of a specifically numbered contestant on the line. When she successfully caught a piece of popcorn in her mouth, that contestant was kept in the running. If she dropped a piece, the contestant was eliminated. The popcorn throwing was particularly difficult this evening because The Dog was a little groggy from having been wrenched from her snooze, and she felt that her distance away from the popcorn thrower was greater than usual. But still - it only took three rounds to declare LGH the winner. LGH can pick-up his/her t-shirt at Santa Barbara Arts in La Arcada.
