Best Shot: Plovers in Flight

This year was my first as a Western Snowy Plover docent and every week I would
bring my camera with me to Sands Beach so I could document what I saw. I'd been
trying to get these Plovers in flight all year long !
Then finally on October 30, I caught a flock in mid-air. Remembering a tip on
shooting action from a professional photog I worked with in NYC - to pan with the
subject while shooting - I was able to get the plovers in focus. Persistence
always pays off.
