Killer B's on State has half priced apps and good drink specials. About 2.50 per app and the same for beer ;)

Also Enterprise Fish Company

Hungry Cat is a good one too

Arch Rock has a great happy hour AND the first one starts at 3:30. You can never go wrong at the Paradise Cafe. Enterprise is good. Hungry Cat is hip. Blue Agave has $5 margaritas that come with a hand rolled taquito...

Santa Barbara Brew House on Montecito - Best beer and prices in town. Great food and atmosphere as well.

This is one of my specialties! I love Elements' happy hour; Hob Nob is fun too; and a well kept secret is Francisco at Stella Mare's -- the couch, the fireplace and his special attention, not to mention $5 drinks and amazing appetizers.

Chuck's steakhouse on upper State does a great free appetizer plate for you at happy hour.

I love the atmosphere at Jill's Place at happy hour -- but it can be a fight to get a seat at the bar.

Joe's Cafe on lower State mixes the stiffest drinks in town.

Taco Tuesdays at Coast at the Canary is great fun -- only $2 a taco and they're delicious.

And there's nothing like sitting at the Shoreline Cafe at happy hour, watching the sunset over the beach, enjoying a drink, a fish taco and unwinding.

Unless you're at the Boathouse at Hendry's beach! Their happy hour is pretty keen too.

I used think brew house, but their food has gone down hill fast. Dargen's has a really good Happy Hour for food/drink.

Edhatbarbara - trouble with Chuck's is their food, especially steaks, are mediocre at best.

Better to seek a venue with far better food for Happy Hour in case you end up staying over for a full blown dinner.

I never eat dinner at Chuck's; always move on from there, but it's a very comfortable venue for happy hour and reasonable prices, as compared to downtown locales.

Palazzio has the best Happy Hours: They have a 48oz, what they call "Colossel" drink, Cosmo, Martini, Margaritas all for 10.00.
That's the best deal in town. They also have a special menu at reduced prices.

Yeah, what happened to the Brew House (I agree 024) - But my vote is Ruth's Chris happy hour - I know not a local hang but still nice.

Hollister Brewing Company- Can be crowded, but they have good food at reasonable prices and even though I prefer coctails or wine, they have beer to please every pallate.

not one vote for union ale? their food is better than brewhouse... mexican fresh on the mesa has dollar tacos from 3-5 every day. boathouse, enterprise, hbc all good spots to get a drink and bite too.

Hungry Cat cocktails are VERY GOOD. I'm too poor if it's not happy hour, but love them.

Enterprise is always good. Gets real crowded, but not bad bumping into most of the clientel. Beautiful bartenders too.

Been wondering about Union Ale going to try that on the Edhat referral.

We tried to go to the Boathouse on a Friday at 3 p.m. for Happy Hour and they refused to give us a table (most were empty) saying they had to save them for the dinner crowd. Dislike.

Arch Rock Fish is my favorite happy hour! Great food, totally affordable prices, super nice staff and the happy hour goes from 3:30-7 and starts again at 9-close! Winner!

I love this posting!
E Bar and Crocodiles for decent drink prices and good happy hour food selection. Harry's and Chuck's are too dark for my taste.Senior Frog's in Carp had a good Margarita on the Rocks but the HH is early (3-5). Palapa is great and on Friday you can stay for the Mariachi band!
I'll have to try Arch Rock after all the thumbs up.

If you don't mind the atmosphere (not bad if it's earlier) Sandbar has a pretty excellent happy hour- 2 for 1 drinks and half priced appetizers from 4-8p every day of the week!

And Arch Rock Fish is excellent- Stilton Grilled Cheese w/Truffle Honey!

The Chase. Great location but too small of area. We were there lastnight for HH. The bar was packed and the restaurant was empty. They have a three tables near the bar but the nasty old, did I say NASTY, hostess would not let anyone use them.
They should let HH people use more of the restaurant and replace that NASTY hostess with someone like the guy at Celito's were the four of us took our $130.
