Three Pelicans Released

On Tuesday morning, volunteers from the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network released three recovered young pelicans at Haskells Beach. They were the one shown in Tuesday's Edhat, and two other juveniles that were found on different Santa Barbara beaches, too weak to feed themselves. In the first picture are Carl, Rob and Sally with the first pelican brave enough to step out. Then the other dared, with the third joining the other two just offshore.
