I'm having a hard time finding a nice jacket/blazer for a job interview coming up in a couple of days. I've looked at Macy's on La Cumbre but mostly found things that were over what I'm expecting to pay or a few sizes to big. I'm trying to avoid express sense I looked online an there isn't anything under 100... any suggestion where I can find something nice and affordable.

Banana Republic Outlet in Camarillo, nice clothes at great prices. Seriously, their deals are amazing. I don't know why anyone actually pays full price anymore.

if ur looking for a "nice" jacket or blazer, and Macy's is too expensive, you're going to need to borrow one from a friend or relative. if you find something nice for less than 100 bones, please share!

You can find nice jackets/suits with tags still on at thrift stores sometimes. It's really worth a look - you won't find anything cheaper, and it's guaranteed you'll find one that fits - they have a larger selection than most stores. The Magnolia one is my favorite, too. The Outlets are definitely a good option, as well, just more expensive & farther.

You should look into Jessica's Consignment or The Closet. Nice designer used stuff.

Joseph A Bank just advertised on tv all sport coats $97.00. They are at simi valley mall or thousand oaks.

I'm assuming you're a woman? Surprisingly Forever 21 has some really cute blazers. Not sure if they have any now, but it might be worth looking at. Old Navy might have some too. Could probably try driving down to the Target in Ventura too.

Um, are you a man or a woman? These referral ?s always miss out on some pertinent info. Banana Republic is a good choice for both men and women. The sale rack is great, and they have nice, middle of the road choices that stay in style for a long time.

My son got a great looking blazer for an interview at Goodwill for $5. He looked great and after he nailed the interview he donated the jacket back to Goodwill. I'd start with the Rack at the Music Academy, which is always filled with Montecito's cast higher end aways.

Alpha Thrift in Goleta has a nice selection, too. If you hit several thrift shops you are likely to find one. I like to buy, wear and donate back, too.

Same question from me ... male of female. I have a virtually new Hugo Boss black jacket you can have (for a man) as it's too big for me. Lovely jacket though.

If all else fails, Nordstrom rack (Oxnard) and the factory outlets at Niemann Marcus and Saks (Camarillo) also have some excellent designer clothing at affordable prices. They can also alter for a fee.

Beautiful jackets at Talbots at La Cumbre Plaza. They are expensive, but often they have clothes on sale and they have "petite" as you may need. The other option is Ross (prefer the new one at Camion Real shopping center). You can find a wide range of prices and quality, but it will take time to search the racks.

Alpha Thrift is for a good cause BUT, they are so expensive that you can usually buy the stuff NEW for the same price. I just think they need to tone down their prices. I just won't shop there any more. Period.

Not knowing if you are F. or M., price range, etc.-- Two weeks ago I bought my husband a $200 100% wool navy blazer at Macys for $55 on a sale day and with a coupon - not too expensive. You can try Sears and Ross. There are times that Ross' prices are cheaper than used clothes. Our local thrift stores are great: 3 Alpha Thrift stores are the best, Good Will in SB, United Family in Goleta, Catholic Charity in SB. After May Madness The Rack in Montecito may be a picked over right now. Unity Shop has Job Smart a free clothing interview program, but you have to be referred from a social service agency.

Go to K-Mart for the interview jacket; when you get the job, you can afford to go to Nordstrums!
