Cathedral Oaks Wagon

Cathedral Oaks Wagon
March Edness 2008

Cathedral Oaks Wagon

This is just a wagon in front of a house. But it is on a major road, so we thought that it would be appropriate for March Edness.

Cathedral Oaks Wagon

There is a bronze plaque on the wagon. Inscribed on it is:

Designed for cross country or overland heavy haulage. Usually pulled by six horses or mules. Often these wagons were fitted so an additional wagon could be pulled in tandem. The only springing is for the driver's seat. These wagons were typically equipped with a canvas top to protect the cargo. 1900

This wagon is also a picture in Edhat's new Santa Barbara Community Collections Photo Gallery. Check it out and add to it if you like.
