Warped Walkway
updated: Feb 09, 2012, 4:22 PM
We have a long wooden walkway outside our house that is warped and loose in
places. Our homeowners insurance says we have to get it fixed or they will
cancel us. Any referrals on someone who could find the problem areas and get it
done reasonably?

Referral: a local licensed/bonded contractor...get five bids. Be sure to replace the e-n-t-i-r-e walkway and sub-structure with quality wood - Douglas fir with ipe or teak treads/decking. Expensive, but a lot less expensive than having someone doing a tails over header, snapping their hip or cracking their head wide open or breaking their leg in three places or .
