Property Management Company for Vacation Home

Referral: We are looking for a property management company to handle the rental of our furnished SB home for about four or five months. We read through the property management section on Edhat, but most of the comments seem to be about companies handling apartment buildings. Anybody have a suggestion for a company that would handle more of a home vacation rental? Anybody have experience with Coastal Properties?

Property One Management does the place I rent, and Jim Fox is really on top of it in a great way. They are on facebook, and in the phonebook. As a renter, I highly appreciate a property manager who takes care of the place I live in.

I can tell you who NOT to use: Dennis Peterson's A RL Real Estate, who has apparently changed his company name since we used him. Does not check the tenants, does not live up to contracts, is not anyone you want to do business with.

Ron Wolfe 805 618-3222. He heads a team who provides maintenance, makes sure renters are qualified by checking references, has accurate accounting and is honest to a fault after 30 + years of doing business with Ron.

Dear 785 - Odd you should "black ball" Dennis Peterson under the cover of anonymity . He has NOT changed the company name, has NEVER handled furnished rentals and if you ask any of the tenants he MOST CERTAINLY does an employment check, financial verification and two credit checks. So if you are going to SMEAR some one know your facts.

First, I don't do it under any cover other than that provided by the list, my name is Ned Nash. Second, to be precise, my house was not furnished. Finally, Peterson handled my property, which was left in shambles by the renters, who I allowed, though our cabinets smelled so badly of cat urine they needed to be replaced. The entire cleaning deposit was returned to the renters either because the house was never checked, or owing to their relationship to Peterson. I don't see your name anywhere.
