Extremely rare as they are tropical creatures. This most certainly calls for photos... post a location and the UHs might even take the pics for you.

Indeed, not common here but which beach did it wash up on? (They're probably not common on any beaches, since sea turtles are endangered, world-wide.)

May have washed down from a creek or river. Photo's would be beneficial. Try calling Peter Howarth of SB Marine Mammal Sanctuary.
