Another good question, what is your budget? I would suggest U2 or the E Street Band, but that might not be in your budget.

Is King Bee still a band?....they were awesome at an event I attended a few years ago

Have each of your guests RSVP with a song choice, fill up your iPod and rent a PA system...Put the $500 you saved towards a nice meal and massage while on your honeymoon.

It would depend greatly on your budget and venue, but Area 51 is an excellent choice. I believe they have a website.

Music Academy of the West - get a string quartet that knows how to rock and you will have the most memorable wedding ever.

Yep: King Bee is still a band, and we're still awesome for weddings. We don't play the ceremony -- we're about getting people up and dancing. Lots of references and happy campers. I'm the drums and also the guy who writes your Edhat garden advise column. Check our website (kingbeesb.com) and drop a line.

For "vintage blues and jazz" that works well for a multi-generational crowd, try Donna Greene and the Roadhouse Daddies. http://www.greeneblues.com/

King Bee is the best! I have gone to several events where they have played and everyone gets up to dance. Lots of fun!

Bossablue! They love to play a salsa bluesy mix. They were amazing at my wedding. Totally added to the terrific day. here is their site: Bossablue.org

Glad someone else knew about Tequila Mockingbird! They changed their name some time ago...don't recall the new name, but they're worth tracking down. REALLY awesome band!

I would have thought all the GOOD bands would be booked by now for summer 2012 weddings.

I recommend King Bee. They played at my sister's 40th birthday party and were fabulous. Good rock 'n roll dancing music. They are playing at Cold Springs Tavern this Saturday from 6 to 9. Check them out.

We always liked Zydeco Zippers - played at our wedding 18 years ago and are still around!
